What a crazy fun cake this was to make. This was an attempt to incorporate all likes into one cake, golf, Africa & hunting.
This was my first try at a topsy turvy cake and as with all my cakes there are new lessons with each one. I used boba straws as my support for the layers and normally these work wonderfully however not on this cake. I recommend using good old fashioned dowels and maybe even more than you normally would. All the carving of the cake I believe really effects the support. So glad I got pictures because by the time I made it to my friends house the base was pretty squished.
