As usual while remodeling my kitchen my taste far exceeded my budget. Lighting can be so expensive. Fortunately my creative gene kicked in. This was the final product.
I had already put bead board on the ceiling trying to achieve a farm house feel. My kitchen had these old ugly florescent lighting. I antiqued the frames then bought some new pieces of the plastic that goes in them. Using a stencil, foam brush & acrylic paint I completed the colored areas. Then for the iron piping I used fabric puff paint to outline the colors and create separate panes.
(fabric paint needs to dry overnight)
This was a cheap, quick & easy project. Can't wait to try it on something else.
